Lemmington Cottages information on Coronavirus (COVID-19)
As a guest focussed business, it is our priority to alleviate concerns from guests during uncertain times. The situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) changes daily and we will review this page as we continue to follow advice from the government and NHS.
Book with Confidence
As a desire for travel returns, Lemmington Cottages very much look forward to welcoming you to enjoy a much-anticipated break. To put your mind at ease we have provided additional guidance for your upcoming stay. This will be emailed to you, via our digital house book a week before your arrival. We are delighted to confirm we are part of the ‘We’re Good to Go’, ‘AA Covid Confident Assessment Scheme’ and ‘Sawday’s Clean & Safe Charter’ Industry Standard awarded for adhering to Government and public health guidance.
Whilst on holiday, we ask you to adhere to the government guidelines. We are on hand if you have any additional questions.
What to expect on arrival?
We want your stay to be a fabulous experience! To ensure this, in advance of your stay we will be sharing a house book for your property. This online guide contains personal recommendations from the owner for places to eat and visit, as well as important information to ensure you make the most of your stay. On arrival and departure from the property, please ensure that you and each of your party scan the NHS track and trace QR code using the NHS COVID-19 app.
If you need assistance during your stay, please do not hesitate to contact the owner who will provide help in a socially distanced capacity.
Preparation and cleaning of your cottage for arrival
Each cottage continues to undergo a thorough clean as part of the changeover between bookings. In addition to our normal high standards of cleanliness we have put in place a raft of extra measures relating to housekeeping and very specific extra precautionary cleaning on changeover days. Our revised cleaning protocol closely follows the same guidance prepared by PASC (Professional Association of Self Caterers) which was submitted to UK Hospitality and DCMS. We follow a two-stage process involving our normal clean followed by a disinfection stage. In addition, we provide a Covid Care Package with every check-in including a supply of medical grade face masks, hand sanitiser, antibacterial hand wipes and hand wash for your comfort.
As an additional measure to protect both our guests and housekeepers we have also extended the changeover period to 9.30am – 4.00pm, this will allow for the additional cleaning requirements to be carried out as well as minimise the contact between both parties.
What should I do when I leave?
Lemmington Cottages are working towards reducing the potential risk for housekeeping teams, therefore we kindly request that you depart the property in a timely manner to allow housekeepers to access the property and conduct an undisturbed deep clean.
To further aid this, we request that you strip bedding and linen before you leave, as well as open windows to air the property where possible and being considerate of the weather conditions. Further details of our Covid check-out policy will be made available to you via our digital house book.
If you feel unwell within 14 days following your stay, we request that you contact our team, who will inform the homeowners and housekeeping team, who will be able to take measures to eliminate any potential spread of the virus.
Up to date information and advice regarding COVID-19 can be found on the GOV.UK and NHS websites.
Social Distancing
Lemmington Cottages occupies a rural setting where social distancing is very easily achieved. In the interests of meeting government guidelines on social distancing practice we are also streamlining arrival and check in for our guests’ convenience.
