Taste of Northumberland Cheese Box
A collection of six of Northumberland’s finest cheeses specially selected by The Cheese Room in Alnwick; a sweet sheep’s Redesdale cheese, creamy mould-ripened Brinkburn and semi-soft Durham Blue, along with a box of Miller’s Damsels hand baked wheat wafers.
Cheese Selection
Redesdale A pasteurised sheep’s milk cheese. A sweet and subtle sheep’s cheese. With its rich and velvety texture, clean characteristic taste and refreshing tang, this is one to savour.
Elsdon Goat’s milk cheese. Hard pressed, closed texture and delicate flavour.
Cheviot Cow’s milk cheese. Delicate and buttery rich cheese. Saltiness on the palate and matured for 7 months.
Brinkburn Goat’s milk cheese. Mould ripened and velvety soft on the palate.
Nettle Cow’s milk cheese, creamy but with the addition of young nettles.
Durham Blue pasteurised cows’ milk. A semi-soft, blue moulded cheese. Streaked with blue veins yet not overpowering on the palate.

Taste of Northumberland Pie Box
Lovingly made by award winning and family butchers, Turnbull’s of Alnwick, each individually hand-made pie is created using an authentic recipe that has been passed down through six generations. Whether you choose 6 or 12, you can’t go wrong with these delicious meat pies. With a selection of award winning pastries and pies, including scotch pies, chicken and leek, our handmade pies boast melt-in-the mouth pastry, the tastiest locally-sourced ingredients, and are baked fresh to order on the day of despatch. All you need do is warm them in the oven and enjoy!

Taste of Northumberland Meat Box
Situated in the heart of rural Northumberland, Turnbull’s of Alnwick is a sixth generation and award winning family butchers, situated in the picturesque market town of Alnwick. The business prides itself on selling the highest quality meats, sourcing their Beef & Lamb from the local auction mart at Acklington, while their pigs are sourced from local Abattoirs. Poultry and Game is, where ever possible, local and always British. A small selection of seasonal Game is available from the Duke of Northumberland’s Estate.
As well as selling the finest quality local meats, Turnbull’s also sell a large range of home-made sausages and burgers and home dry cured bacons.
